THE FOUNDERS
Founded in 1988 by Jay Clark IV, Pure Country began as a boutique textile mill supplying woven goods to local gift shops. Jay passed the torch to his son, George Clark, who helped grow the business into a household name—serving both individual customers and major companies. While we’ve grown, our mission remains the same: to deliver high-quality woven throw blankets made with care.

THE MILL
Nestled in the mountains of North Carolina, our family-owned textile mill is home to over 100 skilled artisans and weavers, operating 45+ premium Jacquard looms. Powered by solar energy, we are committed to crafting high-quality woven products with a low environmental impact, blending tradition with sustainability. Each blanket is made start to finish right here in our mill, where generations of craftsmanship and care go into every woven thread.

THE PROCESS
Our process begins on the warper, where miles of red, blue, yellow, green, white, and black cotton thread are carefully spooled onto a beam. This beam is then loaded onto a Jacquard loom, where thousands of threads are lifted and interlaced to create your design—woven, not printed. With 8 miles of 100% cotton in every throw you get a piece crafted to last by world class artisans and weavers alike.
OUR FAMILY OF BRANDS
PCW is proud to be home to a family of specialized brands, each fulfilling a unique niche while upholding our legacy of quality craftsmanship.
